Snap in connector for iPhone X

I just picked up a CPO 2014 X5. Does anyone have experience with the snap in connector for the iPhone and whether or not it will work with the iPhone X? Is it worth the $265 and does it really improve your signal? Thanks!

the phone dock in the center console? many take it out because it takes up so much space.

My X5 wasn’t equipped with one and I had it in my mind that it would be one of the first modifications that I would make when I took delivery. Contrary to my intuition, most of the forum threads regarding the “cradle” were related to how to remove it and there were an overwhelming amount of forum members who were in favor of removing it, so as a result I have abondoned my interest in this feature.

The good news is you can probably find a thousand people who will send you theirs for only the cost of shipping!

Loaded all of my music on to my iPhone 4S and put that into the adapter that I bought 3 years ago for my 15 X5. All my music from that 4S sounds better than ANY of the radio stations OR what I loaded to the hard drive.

Go figure!

Garage List
I got rid of mine. It was taking up too much room.

There is a wireless charging snap-in adapter available that can work with iPhone X.

That's odd, the hard drive should sound better than the MP3s on iTunes as it supports uncompressed music files.

The mobile phone (including case) must not exceed the maximum size of length x width x height of 151 x 74 x 16 mm.

So it is ok for iPhone X.

Part number: 84102449887

I have a new X5 2015 Model, how do I connect the Iphone 6 without the docking cradle, to receive audio and, Text and emails? My car did not come with the docking cradle.

Bluetooth or Wi-fi via carplay would be your options...not sure you can get texts without carplay.

I have the wireless charging cradle, iPhone X fits just fine, FYI doesn't charge as fast as a cable but I like not having to plug the phone in...I do have a habit of forgetting the phone is in there half the time I exit the car.

I have the iPhone 5 cradle which I kept when I traded in my 550xi m-sport for the X5. I took it apart and removed the little fan inside and the spring loaded mechanisms that pushed the phone against the top holder to keep it in place.
I put it back together and I was able to squeeze a female to male extension cable through the slot that goes across the unit. Now I keep the cradle attached in the car and when my wife wants to charge her iphone 6S, I just plug it into the end of the extension cable. When She's done I just put the cable back into the center console.
