My pleasure, always happy to help . Looking forward to your arrival and install as well. I'll post pics of my final setup. The full suspension arrives this Friday. Hopefully everything COMPLETELY is finished on Sunday. Maybe photoshoot same day? Here's to hoping.

They are just two PDFs in one zip file. Just drag them out of the zip onto your desktop. They have perfect instructions and pictures in each by both members. Sure, I'll try to take pics of my install too.

You can buy the whole system for $399 from ECSTuning: http://www.ecstuning.com/ES2784691/. The part number is 66212359954. Here's some videos on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/results?sear...vanced+car+eye. Note through acceleration the quality really starts to blur where competitors maintain better image quality. My thinkware cost me about the same price for the front, rear, and hardwire kit from Amazon.
Well, at least this won't void your warranty.

Quality wise, it is hard to judge, it could be the upload quality to the youtube server was not maximized.
But, regardless, I love the clarity on my BlackVue.

Yeah, Ben, that's true . The Thinkware F550 quality is similar to your BlackVue, which is still very good - front 1080p rear 720p. Of course, the cleaner the windshield the better the quality as well .

My mistake. I pasted the wrong file for you. I was helping someone in Germany and gave them the EDIABAS file they needed and by mistake pasted that, lol. Here is the correct one : https://copy.com/yaAjIbahiZRV9q1m

I fixed the link with this one in my original post as well. Sorry about that .

Thanks @opasha for the links.

Doesn't blackvue have smaller footprint and more features e.g. wifi and iphone app for viewing etc. Now they have newer one with touch screen and wifi, app feature etc.

I did my research and while the Blackvue650 was pretty decent, the 750 didn't make the cut based on reviews from multiple forums I visited especially https://dashcamtalk.com/forum/forums...-dash-cams.12/

Here are some Amazon links where you can buy and read brief reviews on the their best model in your video that you posted:
http://www.amazon.com/Blackvue-DR750...DateDescending

http://www.amazon.com/Blackvue-DR750...ustomerReviews

Thinkware/iNavi brand is currently the best in the world and the X500 allows you to watch everything live on the screen and gives you a mini usb microsd card adapter to easily remove the sd card on the side and plug it into your computer's usb port. I actually bought this for quicker viewing when I had initially purchased the non-screen version F550 model in order to view it on my Note 4 phone: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The software provided with the Thinkware is great and easy to use. If you're going to get a dash cam, get one that's worth it. That's my humble opinion.

Found an interesting product while looking for dashcams. It's a "hard wire" installation kit. Just a simple piggyback fuse tap. http://thedashcamstore.com/universal...ceted_search=0

Now if I wanted to use this installation kit, where would be the the optimal fuse box (front or rear) and which fuse to tap?

2 days ago I've sold my E71, so I don't have any pictures.

I used a very cheap and "blended" Chinese camera, with good results.

The camera has different names: A118 or B40.
Use the one with capacitor, not battery.

The 5v adapter was from e-bay.

ALL: the photo is correct. The numbers may be wrong.

The fuse holder is from amazon:

Hey all, sorry to revive an older thread.

I read in another post mattbar, that it is 162 and 107 you tapped correct?
Will these support parking mode? I want a fuse that's still live while the car is off. I am familiar with the battery drain warnings and have gotten around those my own way in my previous F30 and also my current t f10. Just not sure which two fuses I should go with on the f15. Also, anyone have a picture of where they grounded near the front fuse box?

Thanks!

The cameras are there. The wires are there. The capture and display are there. They data storage is there. This would be more than a code as it would need a software patch, is my guess, but BMW should do it. Is there a way to petition them?
I don't think BMW will ever make their original cameras recordable - privacy laws are so volatile, they could find themselves in a position to sell a legal car today and to require a mandatory recall one year later in some countries because privacy laws changed there.

For instance, dashcams have become illegal (!) in Portugal, go figure why there and not in neighboring Spain...

So on my 2015 F30, I wired the dashcam to fuse 161 and 143. When I moved that dashcam to my 2016 F10, I looked up the fuse diagram and found fuses that were associated with the exact same images and wired it accordingly and it worked like a charm. The picture/legend for these fuses on the F30 are the two attached smaller images below.

I went with fuse 161 for the BATT+ and 143 for the ACC+.

The challenge is, now on the F15, I am unsure which fuse to go with for the ACC+.

Looking at the F15 fuse diagram below, fuse 39 on the F15 has the same image for lights as the F30 fuse 161 for the BATT+. However, I can't seem to find a fuse in the front fuse box for the F15 that matches up with the image for fuse 143 on the F30.

Anyone have thoughts on which fuse in the front fuse box might do the same thing as fuse 141/143 in the F30 for ACC+? Looking at this the image of the F15 fuse box diagram (pulled from this thread - http://f15.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1132110), I believe he used fuse 39 for the BATT? Can anyone confirm what this fuse is and would it be safe to assume it would work?

I guess another option is to wire it to 42/48 for ACC+ and 38 for BATT+ like this guy? I just want to verify what these fuses are first.
Thanks in advance!
