F15 H&R front spring DIY?

done the search...but haven't found any DIY's for a H&R spring install for a 2014 X5 35i. i installed H&R's on my 2008 X5, and thinking i can save myself $500+ on paying someone else to do the job for me.

TIA.

It's a strut so if you did the 08 model, you'll see most of the same stuff here. Pretty Straight up.

so a DIY from an E70 would be about the same procedure as for the F15?

also, and help with the "rear link" DIY would be helpful. have heard that part was relatively easy.

klerk , same DIY as the E70.
The rear link is very straight forward. Remove the old and replace with the new, then adjust.

Try with the way it came. H&R should've pre-set it to where it is best for the car.

Took me just over 3 hours start to finish to put my ACS springs/links in. Pretty straightforward.

Any DIY you followed you could share?? Or basic tips? did you have to blead the rear air system before you removed/replaced the rear links?

if the vehicle is off/parked or battery disconnected the rear air system will not initiate any sensor readings for height adjustments. they are little servo motor type sensors. (actually have no idea how to explain the sensor) no bleeding necessary, as the bags will keep filled as is and readjust after new links are attached and vehicle restarted/moved.

so if you want to at least save some labor by installing rear links on your own, it is quite and easy job, if you have wheel ramps, its 5 minutes. you can set the links center to center same as stock so you wont have an issue before spring install.

No sir, no DIY needed... As for the rear air system, as mentioned above, no need to bleed it. I've got my rear links set to the lowest setting...stance is perfect IMO.

Likely going to be swapping my H&R's out for Eibach's this weekend, but haven't been able to find any DIY's for the E70 or the F15. Does anyone have one handy, would like to review the steps before I get it up on the lift.

Thanks

Anyone?

I'm going to swap springs tomorrow, I'm mostly interested in torque specs.
