Rear splitter photoshop request

I'm thinking about alternatives to the carbon fiber rear splitter and I'm thinking about having my vinyl wrap guy wrap the area where the carbon fiber splitter would normally be mounted.

I'm planning to gloss black the exhaust finishers and add the gloss black roof spoiler as well. The back is just too much white for me.

Anyone handy with photoshop that could "paint" the section on the rear bumper gloss black where the splitter would be?

Here's an image from google if someone with the skills could help out!

I ordered this rear roof spoiler (instead of subtle oem one) and already got it. It came primed and I'm thinking wraping it with black CF and installing it soon. I'll post pics when i get it done. I put it on to see how it will look and it looks just right, in fact it looks more subtle in person than on photo (ignore the bodykit)

I like the tinted tail lights. Subtle.

Hey Dush, please do post pics when you get that done. What I’m actually hoping someone can help photoshop is gloss black in the location where the bumper splitter mounts, not the roof spoiler.

The rear diffuser has these "flaps" on each end. Would you want that also shown as black?

Hey Kanvas, no, just the center area where the diffuser would be. Thanks in advance.

FYI, those “flaps” are actually separate side pieces, not part of the rear diffuser. I know because my BMW dealer mistakenly installed the rear side fins when I ordered just the rear diffuser. I noticed what they did after the side fin holes were already drilled so it was too late to go back. I ended up getting them comped.

Gotcha, thanks for the info. I don't know much about aftermarket OEM parts since I'm not into them, so good to know.

Yeah! I'm a PSU Viking, brother is a Beaver, along with many family members, and of course we also have friends & family that are Ducks (boo). We're up there at least a couple times a year...wife and I (and some of our kids) were born & raised in PDX area, been in Texas for 9 years. I should have an honorary PhD from OSU for how much gear we own.

Dang that looks good. Mine is carbon black though so I’m not sure you’d even be able to tell a difference unless you were really staring at my @$$.

However, I hate when people mess with the emblems. One of the most iconic emblems ever and you’re going to change it...

yah, looks good on lighter colors but probably wouldn't make much of a difference on black. Definitely adds a bit more of an aggressive look without going the carbon fiber route and still matching the other gloss black accents on the M-sport. A whole hell of a lot cheaper too.

Agreed on not messing with the emblem. Looks terrible on that X5.

It really changes the look especially on light colours. Is it me or does it look wider and not as narrow. I find the older generation had a fatter ass. This subtle mod may change that.

If you are good with tape and can get the lines right, I think plasti dip is doable. I'm going to have my vinyl wrap guy do it when I can free up some time to get it done.

Yah, It definitely makes the rear look it's been doing some squats. Along with blacking out the exhaust tips and maybe doing the black roof spoiler I think the rear end will look wider and more aggressive.

I also have some pretty aggressively offset 22s on the way which should further improve the appearance.
