Hi all,
I bought a set of 469m off the forum. During shipping the corrugated cardboard that was wrapped on the face of the wheels marred the finish on the wheels... stinks because otherwise rims are nice. I got a quote from a shop to wet sand and polish the wheels for 200 bucks but I'm first going to try to repair them myself. I spent about 45 min on one wheeel with rubbing compound and m205 with a mini ball. Looks like we are at maybe 65 percent better. I'm wondering if I can use a better product? Any advice? Also, am I justified in asking for 200 bucks in compensation to refinish the wheels back to the condition that I purchased them for? I attached before pics of the wheel and in the next post after pics

You need a proper polisher, like a Porter Cable. Then get a 5.5" pad and some good polish like Menzerna. All my wheels have come out perfect this way. If carboard created the imperfections, then polishing will fix it.
