The badge was definitely installed by someone and not the factory.

The placement is off, the size looks off, the color is off.

You paid $32.5K for a flood salvage base model w/ some sort of "MTech" package. That alone is a problem. If you're going to buy a salvage vehicle you need to get a much better deal...$32.5K was not a bargain.

The badge is obviously haphazardly placed and not of OEM quality.

Salt/winter roads is not an excuse. Can you imagine if every vehicle in northern states had badges and adhesives that looked like this? OEM badges don't have these problems after only a couple of years on the road.

I'd still like to see what the MTech package consisted of, who created it, and what country it came from.

Perhaps @menelaos has some history on the vehicle's geographical past or can shed some more light on this for us...it is interesting.

And I'm sure DuSh loves us all up on his thread, that's why forums are fun!

The "M badge affair" has certainly raised a few eyebrows over the last couple of months - if it wasn't for Ebay this wouldn't be so vocal to some people!
