100%. Being totally honest I hated the F15 at first, compared to the E70. I thought the E70, especially in the 4.8 or M looked so much more aggressive, wider, meaner than the F15. Fast forward several years....I am on F15 #2

Just like those who go from an E70 to an F15 hate the steering at first, and now, we wouldn't want it any other way.

I was different. I was in a E60 and was going to move into a F10 but hated the final design. Looked at the E70 and liked it better so I got into that. When the F15 came out I fell in love right away with the Msport line. Currently no G series looks good to me. The X3,X2, X7 concept with the oversized grills looks horrible.

i like the f10 better than the e60. the f10 looks like an evolved version of the e39. the e60 came out of left field and the interior never grew on me. the idrive was clumsy and not intuitive. the double hump dashboard was a bit odd and out of place. i had several opportunities to purchase e60 m5 for very good pricing and just couldn't do it however i must say that exhaust note is pretty damn good.

My issue with the F10 was the hood gap lines.. I just couldn't like it along with the fact that it was heavier and bulkier than the E60. Also test drive proved to be numb and felt like I was in a big boat.

i have no idea why bmw stopped incorporating the grille into the hood. the lines were much cleaner. same with many bmw other models but i guess they have their reasons and it probably boils down to "cheaper".

Getting the BMW extended warranty is a wise move even if you do not ever really put it to serious use. You’ve got the security of having it and that is of upmost importance with any BMW out of factory warranty.
Agree - but have you priced an F15 bmw extended warranty lately?? The prices are now so high they (bmw) are trying to drive us to buy new vs holding our x5’sand adding an xtended warranty. $4800 comes to mind from reading recent posts. If this is their game - I’ll leave the brand.

It is far better to purchase MBI through your insurance company.
The plan is much cheaper and it is only $7.50-9.99/mo which gives you coverage through seven years or 100k miles.

In Canada, that warranty price goes over $7000 to cover the extra 3yrs.

What is MBI coverage? I have Safeco and don’t think they offer anybtype of extended warranty coverage option.

Mechanical Breakdown Insurance.

https://www.geico.com/auto-insurance...own-insurance/

I know many people who have it and used it without issue. I believe it is a $250 deductible but for the most part it is a "no questions asked" repair and they work directly with the dealer so you do not have to lay out the money and wait to be paid back or see what is/isn't covered.

Dude I am so going to do this. I already have Geico, so it's a no brainer.

Agreed. For anyone who keeps their vehicle long term it just makes the most sense. I would never consider buying any other coverage.

But you can only get it if you have less than 15,000 miles?

yes, the vehicle has to be less than 1 year old or no more than 15k miles when you put it on. it runs in tandem with the factory warranty but considering the price it isn't an issue in my opinion.

I can't "un-see" that now that you have pointed it out, it is the only thing I notice about them now when I see them on the road.

E36 M3 had the same issue but the line was buried in the design and did not stand out as much.
