Time for new tires, recommendation on non-RF

Looking to replace 2 of my rear tires but might end up do all 4 since I want to get rid of the runflats.

Any recommendations or suggestions on what to get? Looking at all season that's not going to break the bank yet gives good ride comfort since that's the reason I want to get rid of runflats.

Do you think I can get away with replacing 2 rear ones with non-RF and keep the front as RF? The front ones are still in great condition.

315/35/20 rear
275/40/20 front

Not a very good looking tire, but yes, folks seem to be happy with the Continentals.

referring to the sidewall or tread? I think they look pretty good for an all-season. The DWS06 get my vote.

yeah, they dont have a square shoulder/sidewall like the runflats, but they sure ride smooth.

Thanks everyone. I guess I'll do 2 for now and 2 more for the front later.

Sure hope DiscountTire carries them, had a horrible experience with tiretack before

I thought we had to do all 4 at the same time or they had to be within 2/32nds of each other

Don't like the way the thread looks and the "block look" is missing...

A/S 3 is an amazing tire. Had it on my last car, most summer like riding A/S tire I've ever driven on.

Discount tire direct is currently running a $100 off $400 sale on eBay, great time to buy the continentals. You can place orders for the rears & fronts separately and get $100 off on each, making it $840 total with free shipping.

I would not recommend mixing non runflats with runflats as the handling characteristics between the two types will be different. Also you may find that the rolling circumference between the two may be slightly difference and if so you could induce transmission windup issues in your Xdrive.
You can check the difference on the tyre manufacturers website to make sure.

Ive always ran Michelin PSS on my other cars...but they were smaller cars so I don't know how they would run on an SUV. Also, they are a summer tire so may not do good in winter depending on where you are at.

I hate to replace 2 front ones when they are still with over 60% thread life. My rear got a nail that's not repairable and I figured I would go ahead and replace with non-RF DW6

I thought it's a myth that I have to replace all 4 but can anyone else chime in?

The circumstances should be the same runflat vs non-runflats

The front will ride rough while the rear is soft. Won't hurt anything I don't think. May ride different.
