Anyone know what this switch is for..

Hi folks, I am not able to find any reference in the manual for this switch in our 40e climate control section, looks like switch but with no obvious function when pressed, I am referring to the little circle under the Auto one, see attached photo.

Thanks for any feedbacks.

Temperature sensor. I would suggest not to press it anymore, as there is no switch behind.

5th thread regarding that self-destruct button.
It will activate after you press and hold for 20 seconds and it will shows the countdown on the iDrive screen.

I don't think the X5 need a switch for self-destruct.

BMW makes the car for 007. It is secret button for 007, in case he needs your car. LOL.

PS: The button is nothing.

Well, that's why the button is very small.
You never know, maybe you need to use it when you get carjacked?

Garage List
its the auto-eject for annoying passengers or MIL.
Only press the button after you initiate the following sequence on your idrive knob: up, up down, down, left, right, left, right and hit the Engine start button(accessory on).
Then say good bye!!
