Just tried with eSys and cable. The BDC 3070 shows only 6 groups with 8 layers similar to bimmercode app, and no matter what you change for the values, they wont change the ambient lighting colors anymore. Really disappointing as the Red was a great color at night time. Watch out with new SW updates, you will lose the hellrot color many use for all layers.

So you need to change (ENSEMBLE_1_LAYER_1) and (ENSEMBLE_1_LAYER_2) and (ENSEMBLE_1_LAYER_3) That way you can match the three light strips on the dash, doors and the leg area. |

Does anyone know what values to put in order not to get UNKNOWN parameters and actually change the colours? The hex values for all possible colours would be nice... Anyone? Shawn maybe? Has anyone tried to change this value: AMBIENTE_GELB_ANTEIL_ROT? It should define the percentage of red colour within the orange colour mix of yellow and red.?? It has only one value possible: wert_01 which coresponds to value (wert) 46... Not sure if this is hex or dec value though... Tried to set it to 64 (hex for 100%) and also to 99 - dec... Both result in UNKNOWN parameter when saved... Haven´t tried them out yet in the dark... What value should I put in in order to get more red within the colour mix for orange? Thanks for the help. |

If I know what you're saying then I think this is what's up. So when you change the colors in the software it WILL NOT change the label or name of the scene. the names in the iDrive menu are defaulted and stay as programmed. You just need to memorize what new color scheme you design to which sub layer

I've coded all different groups of colors for ambients - awesome.
However, the DOME settings... Does this mean you can change the color of the dome (overhead) lights from white to orange? I tried several times but my domes are white after days of trying. Has anyone successfully changed their dome lights, or am I misunderstanding something? Thanks in advance.

Thanks. To confirm, your dome lights are not white after coding?

Good to know, I figured it must be possible but no one has confirmed dome changes except you...I guess I'll re-study the ambient sections of the tuning threads...because for the life of me I can't get mine to change. Everything else changes as described.

...Alright so I checked my coding and it's still indeed the way I described it in the first post of this thread under "Colors available". Maybe post a pic of what you are seeing or not seeing different? Possibly I can help clarify when I see what's happening... |

So when you say dome, do you mean the ambient overhead "always-on" lighting, or do you mean the dome light you physically push with your hand to turn on/off?
