Is there an option/codding for foglights to always come on with headlights?

I could set this on my Jeep through OBC but can't set on my X5

Finally got a chance to drive around at night last night after coding VLD. VLD is fantastic! Makes a noticeable difference, especially in the city where you get more light to the sides to spot pedestrians etc..

My X5 is at the dealer getting some work done, hopefully they don't wipe the coding!

@diesel733 any tips on the M Logo Instrument Cluster? My X5 automatically goes to the service indicator. I pushed all my services to 2019 but it still pops up stating my oil service is due in 2019!! Anyway to turn off the notification? Thanks in advance!

Sorry on the M Logo on Instrument Cluster, my shows M50i logo. I don't think it will do M Performance logo. My mistake. Regarding the M splash, I don't recall where I found it but just look around and you will see it. Sorry I'm no help.

So VLD is closer to have Anti-Dazzle if you don't have HBA and LED package right?
I have LED package with HBA, still waiting on a way to code Anti-Dazzle thru Bimmercode App

Is VLD worth it? Where in BimmerCode? Not sure if I want to do VLD since I can't get anti-dazzle yet

Yes, I don’t have HBA or LED and VLD controls low beams in a simpler way based on speed. In ththe first post of the other coding thread there is a better description.

VLD is definitely worth coding. I had to do it in the expert mode within bimmercode app. You can prob code anti-dazzle and VLD at the same time.

I just finished coding my BMW and after I coding I have two error messages that popped up. Does anybody know how to clear or fix this problem?

1. Chasis Stabilization
2. Some brake error

I've so far just shut the car down and start it back up and it seemed to pop back up and I can't get the side mirrors to fold either.

Maybe you did not wait a little longer (let the car sleep) and errors should go away or you can buy bimmerlink to clear errors right away.

On side mirror, maybe you did not set it with no delay?

Thanks, you were right on both the problems I was having. Thank you for your help, now I can sleep in peace tonight.

Open the cheat sheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...9s4/edit#gid=0

You'll need to go in to expert mode in the BDC Body module and find the function values that need to be updated. Update per the cheat sheet and you should be good to go.

There are no valves on regular X5. Only X5M. At least from what I've read multiple times from multiple people on here.

Hmm thanks for the response... so exhaust should be coming out from both sides? I am only really getting the left side for most part. Is that the same with most of you guys?

Not a true statement. The valve flap is indeed on the right side/muffler and is closed a majority of the time, hence why people complain of a dirtier driver's side exhaust tip along with it looking "weird" when you see gasses coming out of only one side.

You can set the exhaust flap operation with a different app called Bimmerlink. Its from the same developer that does Bimmercode.

Bimmerlink allows you to set the Ex flap operation as : Auto (default operation), always open, always closed.

Bimmerlink also reads trouble codes, let's you clears codes, as well as some other non-coding functions. I think that app is IOS (Apple) only at this time.
