Split screen maps/weather

Hi there fellows!
Whenever I choose split screen maps/weather of my F16, each time I enter the car and start the engine weather part of the screen is changed to car status.
I had BMW 3GT before and there idrive was able to remember my choice for splitting the screen. Any ideas?

I'm not sure? Mine always remembers. I used to have the clock and weather too before BMW dumped IFTTT integration and made the yearly subscription worthless to me and it always remembered and brought it up when I started until I changed it manually.

Mine is sometimes on and sometimes it's blank and I have to reselect the right screen. Seems to be pretty consistent working lately though.

Maybe if the car is not connected to a network it shows up blank/not on weather?

Do you park in a cave?

Not really, Bruce Wayne I am not 😄car is parked outside. Moreover I have other car, 6GT, and it has exactly the same issue 😳

Weird it is, older 3GT worked like a charm and all was exactly as I left always.

Mine seems to go through phases where this happens and I have to reset the display a few days in a row. Eventually it will remember the setting for a few months and then repeat the cycle. Annoying but not so much that I’ve asked the dealer to look at it yet, I’ve just assumed it couldn’t get connected to display RT weather.

So it is bug that cannot be solved I guess, if dealer was not able to solve either

Mine is working properly, and I park in the underground garage. If I park on the lower levels it will show no signal and as soon as I am out it will update.

Probably its software issue and you need an update.

Save that setup (map w/weather in split screen) to one of the 1-8 programmable buttons. That way if it changes...one press of the button you saved it to will bring it (weather in split screen) back without having to delve into iDrive to set it up again.
