Leasing for None US citizen

Hello everyone,

i live in a country where cars are atleast 20$K-30K over the price in the US, even the Lease is extremely high here. so it came to my mind, can i lease a car from the US and ship it to my country and then return it before the lease is up?

what information is required to lease a car in US? and what are the restrictions?

I've noticed that there are a couple of BMW sales representatives in the forum and i would love it if they would provide some insight

Regards

I'm sure BMW wants your car to stay in the United States when you're leasing it. You'd also have warranty issues. Shipping it is probably $3K each way also.

That's a very wild idea. Even if somehow you manage to lease a car with your legal U.S status, there's no way they will let you ship the car outside the country! unless of course, you pay in full.

You can never export the vehicle and it is in there lease agreement and terms. You can not blame them as they never know if the vehicle would be back in the USA again. You can lease cars in other countries and in the last decade it has become popular in Europe.

Garage List
You can only ship out vehicles with at least 12 months of registration in the US, and of course with the title in hand as part of the document. Therefore the answer is no, you can't ship out a lease vehicle from the US and return it back when lease ends.

Few things, it depends on where you are going. If to Canada and Mexico, you may be able to do it temporarily. Kuwait - No.

You are NOT the owner of a leased vehicle. So for the most part, any customs will not let you "import" it. You can drive it over or ship it over, but again, most countries let you drive a foreign plated car only for a few months at a time.

If doing to a armed forces base, it may be different also.
