It's great! I really didn't notice much dust but the pads are low dust compound. I actually am going to change the front because those pads drive me insane! there are two different squeal sounds... one just high pitched and the other exactly like race pads would make and it's just terrible!! and the dust in the front is so bad.

No one makes the pad that would cover the whole diameter of this rotor… This pad is made to cover those whole thing but you can use a different one.

Here is what it looks like with the biggest pad that they make for that caliper… so you do have options!

What about the wear sensor? Is it like a universal thing or just don't plug it in.

Is there a pad shape/ style for these? Just found https://www.zeckhausen.com/catalog/i...gfmliefufsrjq0 and from the pictures it looks like either the Gt1/f40/f50 or the Monoblock 4 (D810). Plus the pad dimension look similar to yours. Sorry for all the dumb questions, all of this is kinda new to me and trying to learn. Been on the other side of the world, have to think where to source things a bit closer. |

I really like this mod for cosmetics. And I assume braking performance is just as good if not better? Is that something my indy can properly program so that the braking dynamics and performance remain? (I am an assertive driver and I plan to be on the track next year)
Also wondering when to do it because I have a warranty and maintenance program that I want to keep intact for the rear brakes. I'll talk to my SA about how they would handle it. If you guys have any insight on the programming for performance etc. that would be helpful. TIA |

No need to program anything, the brake piston size is a 101% match to the oem piston so it’s the same surface for the master cylinder and brake bias.. pedal feels oem.

Pedal feels OEM , And IMPO breaking got better, it might also related to fresh fluid but I definitely feel the differences 🙌🏼

Could be the fluid combined with a larger pad..

also before you unhook the calipers from the brake lines depress the brake pedal and leave half way depressed in - that blocks the fluid from leaking out and you will get no leaks and no chance on air entering your lines and with that being said a lot easier job when it comes to bleeding them later after installation of new calipers... also when comes to bedding the new brake pads - this is what porterfield sends out.. they pretty much say that pads are pre bedded and you suppose to drive easy without bedding in procedures, no hard breaking unless you have to for around 100 miles...

Chris, fantastic work. Just picked up an F15 3.5D w M package and brakes are garbage (at least looks) From what I understand these bolt up ok for me too right? Then I just need to source discs, SS lines, and the front kit, and where would you recommend picking up that one? Last one, do I need to change MS l, me coming from non M model (F15). Very interested, and likely talk/PM you soon and do want the cross drilled discs too and great if I could source them for front in a way to know they are color matched, and blue works well with me. CTSV gold painted and mustard yellow in other cars so this needs to be different and prefer it over red.
Appreciate any info on this. Cheers.
