I really admire your effort to individualize your X5. My 2 cents is that the letters might be a little too bright for my taste, but the CF covers will look great!
When one has poured out one's passion and heart into a project like this, it is much more than what money can buy. IMHO. Huge kudos to you.

And they are done!!!!!
Wet sanded down to 400 grit
3 coats of clear
Thank you everyone for your positive responses!
Now on to the next project (might be the dual inlet air box off an Australian x5 to wrap in carbon fiber)

Just noticed my back passenger side is about 0.5 inches lower than driver side. Anyone else have this happen with their springs? Have 70k miles on her. Looks like it’s time to order coilovers today

Thank you! Means a lot! The dual inlet air intake is on its way… gonna graft it to the single tube and glass it, then carbon fiber the whole thing.

You might have just inspired me to try overlays myself, I have wanted to for quite some time. Do you recall the name of the video you used to learn from?

Google carbon fiber over lay and carbon fiber skinning. Will guide you.

So got my dual intake duct from Aus. But it's missing the screen vents to connect to radiator openings for cold air. Can someone please tell me what they are called per BMW so I can order them! Without these clips the openings are too large and duct will not stay in place.

I wonder if this really pulls more air. And why would BMW leave it blank? I'm not challenging, just asking a question because I'm interested to do this mod if it works.

Not sure if it pulls more air but can't hurt. I actually bought a second single duct and I'm gonna cut and fiberglass them together for a clean "stock" look as I don't like the rubber hose connection I have seen others do…: not knocking anyone !!!!!
Then I will carbon fiber overlay the whole thing. I'll take and send pics along the way.

After discussion with a couple members here, did swift springs, 16k front and back, extra low to make up for less spring drop.
Got the adjustable camber wishbone for front and SPC camber arm for back

New project :
Dual air duct in beautiful carbon fiber.
Bought duct and a single duct.
Cut both to make a even transition and to take out where single duct flattens out and can limit air flow. Glassed them together so far. More pics tomorrow
