I wouldn't install it if you were looking for better mpg. I can guarantee you that most of us get the chip to have more usable power and with that comes a heavier foot and with that you already know. What's the point of getting the chip if you don't want more power so you can use it?

You should drive by and see if your X5 is in the front windows. We saw ours on the first right side bay the night before. It was there shining.

I was getting 34/35 MPG at 75+ MPH with the cruise set.

Update (name changed just in case)...apparently the fault code on mine is "something they have never seen before"...Ill keep you guys posted.

We are being driven by the hotel guys in the new x5. Do you think they would stop by the PC. Visiting downtown Greenville now.

Sweet! Yeah, the hotel concierge is who took us by at night to see the car. I don't think he was supposed to but we gave him a good tip. Have fun today! I know you will.

I figured as much but was just curious what the difference (trade off) was in MPG!

guys, the car is amazing. We made it from SC to AZ so far (1956 miles) and I am very pleasantly surprised. Nor me or my wife feel tired, we were able to get a bit over 700 miles on one tank and many more observations but I will type them up after we get to California.
I installed the tune when the car had 6 miles on it and followed hard break in procedure. Car feels strong and I am in E/2 setting.

Over 700 miles per tank! That's what I'm talking about! That's looking like 30 MPG, correct?

I got 30.5mpg when driving home from my PDC a few weeks ago. What's more impressive is a week ago, I towed my rzr (side by side) from Greensboro, NC to Pioneer, TN and averaged 15.9mpg. Lots of mountain driving with a large covered trailer.

Are you kidding? You shouldnt be getting more than 11-12mpg's while towing.
This is amazing. Is that with the tune as well?
