Can someone from the US post a pic of what the Bimmer8 SLI MPH display looks on the 6WA Cluster and on the HUD?

Looks better in person IMO.

Edit: also worth noting that when speed limit info is unavailable, there's no empty white box, just three dashes which arent very noticeable.

I have a hard time screwing the cluster back in from the right side. Anyone had issues? My wires were also extremely short (activehybrid 3 seems to have them shorter)

Anyway, left screw went in all the way, but it seems like the right screw hole is just empty and the screw just goes right in and doesn't thread. I had no issues removing it originally, is it possible that somehow the threading came loose? Difficult to work with as I have limited space and can't directly see what I'm doing. Any tips?

There are metal clips where the screws drive into. Mine moved and I had the same issue. Just realign them and done. Maybe they even fell.

Alright, thanks. Are the clips attached to the car or the cluster? Gotta try when it's not freezing outside.

Pretty sure they sit on the car side. Not on the cluster.

Yup, this happened to me too when installing. Mine fell down the crevices here and had to use magnetic tool to fish it out.

On my 2018 F31 I have the standard GPS system. Does that mean that I just need to enable something in bimmercode or do I still need to fit additional hardware?

Need one of these
https://www.ebay.com/itm/37302157651...sAAOSwRqZgkQPn

Just make sure it works for your KOMBI.

and then code the needed variables as explained in the site. I didn't have all of them, so just code whatever you can find until it works. This is mine: https://www.ebay.com/itm/25459568501...53.m2749.l2649

I have problems with speed limit info, for some reason HUD and control panel does not "read/display" speed limit info from signs. I we searched entire forum but i didn't find this issues with X5. I have connected drive camera with line tracking, front collision warning, pedestrian alert, HBA and also i have navigation pro with touch screen and iDrive 5. How can i activate this feature or fix issue?

Thanks in advance!
Did anyone know how to solve this? Someone says that you can code something so it works in Bosnia/Serbia for example? I have also 2021-3 Nav Map, ID5 etc etc, when I go to Croatia SLI works perfectly. When I come back to Bosnia it doesn't work, is there anything I can code so camera reads signs here too or to take info from Navigation MAP? I read somewhere from phone, on some another forum when I was traveling that people code something and it's working, but now I was searching 2 days and can't find that thread. I am up to pay/donate if someone help me fix that. Thanks in advance and sorry about not perfect english

And yes, I dont wanna upgrade some Chinese SLI Emulator

And my car already has a 7E SLI FSC Code issued to it and Option Code 8TH Road sign detection but still doesnt work in Bosnia/Serbia, only Croatia, EU etc

Hi all, I think this mod is very interesting for me as i drive in Belgium a lot where they don't seem to care much about communicating speedlimits on roadsigns.

I recently purchased an adapter and the Bimmercode app to be able to do some coding. Very simple things like folding mirrors etc. Now i see that this retrofit will need some coding as well. As i am an absolute noob regarding coding, i did not get clear, reading this thread, what i need to do to get this to work.
Too many abbreviations and terms i've never heard of.

This coding, is this possible with Bimmercode app? And if so, do I code in the main section of the app or in Expert mode? Thanks in advance for helping out!

Bimmercode expert mode with search works, but can be glitchy. I did it with Bimmercode knowing there's a risk. During coding the speed limit info, my head unit went completely black and unresponsive, but luckily came back after the car went to sleep. I used this site: https://vi.raptor.ebaydesc.com/ws/eB...=0&cspheader=1

And coded in everything I could find, including HUD since I also had that. If there are some options you can't find, then just leave them out and keep testing until it works.

The people in Facebook who like using the "Ha ha" emoticon will tell you to use E-Sys or ISTA for coding, and they despise Bimmercode. There's probably a reason, or not.

Thanks for your help Nico. I saw this info in your link as well. Bit hesitating right now since you mentioned your head unit going black.

Anyone else has any experience with coding this through BimmerCode?
