Center Bore Size

Quick question: What's the center bore size of F15 X5?

Is it:
74.1 like E70?
72.56 like most other BMWs?
74.1 front and 72.56 like E71 X6 and X5M X6M?

Tried searching but couldn't find it. Thanks!

As Ragtag said, it is 74.1 for all 4 wheels.

I've been contemplating spacers as well. I'd like to do 20-25mm in the rear and 10-15mm upfront. Anyone have photos of their M Sports with spaced OEM wheels? Sorry for the thread hijack OP.

In my honest opinion anytime you have a 4 wheel drive or awd system, it's wise not to mess with the actual dynamics of the 4 wheel stance and go equally spaced all around. That's not to say I didn't drive with only the 30 mm on the rear, no issues at all.... if I did it again, 25 all around would be best probably but once I paint my wheels black, km gonna be happy they are sticking wide. You can absolutely feel the difference in the drive no negative impact.

Please make sure you USe h and r DRA spacers. These bolt to the hub, then you not the wheel to the spacer. Putting on an extreme 25 mm without dra will drastically increase the length and load you would have on the lug bolts. The shear pressure is dramatically more, I've seen issues with spacers over 20 mm with longer threaded lugs

Thats not necessary as factory already comes with staggered setup wheels with different offset.

What matters is to go for quality brands spacers. I would agree going 15mm front and 25mm in the rear. As of now i am running 7.5mm front and 15mm rear on 22x10.5 front and 22x12 without any issue at all.

X5 F15 M pack with E70 2013 M mags

I tried tonight to fit 2013 X5M 19" mags on my 2015 X5
REAR MAGS don't fit on the hub... 1/4 inch off.
Is it because of the 72.1mm the E70M used to have?
What can I do to make them fit?
Machine the mags so it fit 74.1mm????

Thanks!

well yeah the E70M has a smaller rear hub than the E70/F15 non-M rear hubs... so of course it won fit... cheapest option is to get the rear rims bored out to 74.1mm from a machine shop

Based on other comments on this thread, I was under the impression that the F85 rears had a larger diameter center bore than the F15 rears. Is this true?

F15/F16/F85/F86 all using 74.1mm CB.
E70 non M uses 74.1mm CB
E70 M and E71 uses 74.1mm CB front and 72.5mm CB rear.

If u have trouble finding spacers for the f15 u can also look at the E39 5 series which also uses 74.1 bore size.

I finally went to a specialized shop and ask them to enlarge the Center Bore so it is now a 74.1mm.
They did a very good job for approximately 200$ (Cdn) for the two wheels.
Honestly, you would not be able to tell which one was the 72.5mm...
Problem solved.
