I got flashed again last night by a... (wait for it) another X5! Since replying to this thread I have been paying closer attention to the details when this happens. I live in an area with a lot of rolling hills and have noticed that most of the flashes occur when I am cresting a hill and my headlights are still pointing up toward the sky, as soon as I level off, I don't get flashed anymore. Also when traveling over a bump, the nose of the car lifts momentarily and the headlights point directly at the oncoming driver and it often results in a flash.

Just went 2 full turns clockwise on both headlights. Def saw the beam drop on the wall in front of me, so let's see if this helped at all.

Does anyone have pics of the leveling sensor arms on a X5? I think my headlights are aiming higher and wanted to make sure this wasn't the issue.

Anyone? A pic of the front and rear would be great. Thanks!

if you want to check whether the lights are aimed higher you can compare it to another X5 that isn't lowered in a parking garage.

I think they're attached to the sway bars. They were on my AMG.

Thanks. I checked the arms and they looked okay. I ended up just dialing down the headlights a bit. It's a little difficult to ensure that both headlights are at the right distance so I just guesstimated...
