Brandon's F15 Build Thread

Hi everyone,

I'm from Sarawak, Malaysia. I've posted some photos on my previous thread but now since I've got the car already, its time for an official build thread. So, I've been lurking around this forum since I placed order for my Mineral White Metallic F15 xDrive40e in September 2017. This forum helps with my decision a lot, all the photos and ideas. Thanks guys. Here is the mod list:

Exterior:
M Performance CF Front Lip
M Performance CF Rear Diffuser
M Performance CF Rear Side Flaps
M Performance Side Skirt Sticker
M Performance Rear Roof Spoiler
AutoTecknic Gloss Black Dual Slat Kidney Grills (Bought from r33_RGSport )

Interior:
M Performance CF/Alcantara Front Panel + Door Panel Trim
M Performance CF Center Console Trim
M Performance Floor Mat
M Performance Illuminated Door Sill
M Performance Gas & Brake Pedal Cover
///M Door LED Projector
X5M F85 Steering Cover + Paddle Shifters (Bought from r33_RGSport )

Others:
Oracal 970 Vinyl Wrap Gloss Black Window Trim + Roof Rail
Nano-Tech Window Tinted VLT 20% All Around
Debadged Side and Tailgate Emblems (Except for "X5")

Wheels Setup:
HRE P101 Brushed Dark Clear
22 x 10.5J Front & Rear (Due to the difficulties to get wide tyre locally)
Pirelli Scorpion Zero 295/30/22

Coming Soon:
M Performance Big Brake Kit
Dakota Black Knee Pad (Ordered from r33_RGSport )

Had a friend helped me with a proper photoshoot and video, will post it up once they are ready, the photos below are from my iPhone 7.

Enjoy!

Beautiful!

P.S. The only thing I don't like is that M led door projector - looks cheap on such a car, but it's just me - it's just I've seen it on so many cheap cars and every ricer had to order that Chinese led crap that now I cringe everytime I see it (even if it's oem). Keep it if you like it

Looks great. The m leather pads will really complete the interior. I always wondered if I should have gotten a lip.

I like it, even though I prefer the original M black grill vs. the aftermarket X5M grill.

Looking good! Would suggest lowering with some spacers

Why not get the cf trim for the M steering wheel since you went CF for everywhere else? And the cf shifter?

These offset given by HRE is already flush with the lip fender actually. Are you saying adding spacer to the rear wheel though? If yes, then I have the same feeling about the rear wheels too. From side angle, they still look abit inwards, i think due to the slight negative camber. But look how flush are those rear wheels from the photo below if looking straight from behind:

As for lowering, maybe not for the time being. My hometown roads are very bumpy. I'll see how it goes after driving for some time. I only have 120km on this car. But if I were to get lowering springs, I will go for the Eibach

Because for RHD, there is no M Performance CF shifter , I don't know why BMW don't make them. So I decided to keep at least one thing matching to the original shifter which is the steering cover in this case. I'm waiting for the knee pad from r33_RGSport ,once the knee pad goes on, I believe it will blend in nicely.

Yup, I do mean just the rear, the front looks fine. For some reason, you look like you're already lowered in some of the pics lol.

Eibachs are a good choice, I currently have them and had them on my old car too.

Just found out that Eibach doesn't have rear links version. Only H&R has them. Probably adding a 5mm spacer to the rear will make the rear stand out nicer without the need for lowering.

They are available, just not in some markets.

I ordered mine with the rear lniks from Baan Velgen

But if I order from those market that are available, will I be able to install it on my F15 Malaysia Spec?

Btw, what is the drop for front and rear?

It's interesting that the Msport in Malaysia comes equipped with the standard gear shifter and not the sport one.
