Changing out of x5 50 for first time.

After 15 years. I want to try a others type of x5. I drive residential but also like 500 mile a week highway driving. I have loved this insane power. But now need something different and a good gas mileage for change. So 2018 x40e or 2018 x30d. Never had diesel

1 week with the 35d here - gobs of torque. And I don't think about the battery. First tank of gas 25 mpg with mostly city, little highway.

I wouldn't really recommend the 40e if you are doing 500 miles a week highway. The 40e will only net low mid 20's realistically on the highway when the battery is exhausted. The diesel will easily win on highway mileage.

Never recommend enough the 30d 'cos it's powerful (...very good amount and distribution of torque) and not so thirsty, even for city or spirited driving.
