21 inch winter tires
I have the 21 inch 599 style wheels with the Dunlop's on them I was wondering if anyone has tried to run the Dunlop's in winter? How were they? As well what winter tire options there are for the 21's, I plan on swapping them for HRE's in the summer and would like to at least use them as winters

I haven't had them long on mine, but the Dunlops are summer high performance tires and are not going to be good winter tires. They are not all season tires and the rubber will get harder in cold temps, which decreases traction. In snow, I would bet they are downright dangerous.
I just got a 2018 X5 MSport 35xi with the 21" 599 wheels and Dunlops. I immediately switched to a separate set of Niche 20" wheels with 275/40-20 Pirelli Winter Carving snow tires mounted. |
