I know for X5 there's not a lot of vendors or 3rd party aftermarket parts, so best bet would be getting in touch with a brembo dealer from another model forum (4, or 5 series)

Brembos are as good as they get. My recommendation would be to call Brembo directly, explain your application, and ask for their recommendation. Great people to deal with, but make sure you are sitting down when you talk price. They can also give you names of dealers who could give you a better deal.

the stock brakes lack, in my opinion, for street use. at least for my "style" of driving. i just dont appreciate the brake pedal feel in this truck, for how sporty it is, it should at least be comparable to other "Sports Vehicles"...including the srt8 jeep with brembos....just my opinion. and the fact that i thoroughly enjoyed my track session and the only lacking criteria of road racing capability happened to be the brakes..... i would like to see slotted/drilled rotors of larger size, larger calipers Red or Other Color. just want to do my research, as i will be upgrading brake fluid, to see if it can make a slight difference. im just looking for a major upgrade above and beyond m package brakes, which i believe should be included on msport models

i know brembos are quality but 8-10K for front and rear is too extreme for my daily. Wilwood are great and for 5-6k i can do front and rear....they actually started with race trucks i believe i am not so picky with brand as long as they have brand awareness and quality product, jsut need to know whats out there for our vehicles, and how much i can get front and rear kit for shipped to 33433!

@X5Jouster , shoot me your email address. I will give you quotes on all of them that is available.
I personally using Brembo. For bang of the bucks, MPBK is the cheapest solution.

so just want to talk about options for a second..... adams rotors are great, and i can get rotors in any size i need....i would match the M performance size because i like drilled/slotted rotors... the cost of m performance is not bad at all but i also want the slotted//drilled rotors so what are the options... can i find just the calipers for sale? and will they fit another brand of rotors?

X5Jouster , If I were you, I would get BMW F85 X5M rotors.
It does fit on MPBK, same diameter and thickness. Better yet, I believe it does fit, you can run F85 X5M Brake system. Brake line wise, I saw ECS does have a set.

Ben,
Is it possible for you to piece the MPBK part a la carte? MPBK Front Calipers MPBK Brake lines? (not sure if it comes with it) MPBK Brake shield plus whatever mounting hardware needed X5M Drilled Rotors Basically eliminating the rear setup and exhanging the rotors for the X5M ones up front. Is this confirmed to fit? Just curious The way I see it BMW felt the need to change the size of the F15 brakes depending on model. The higher the model F15 the bigger the front brakes are. Not sure about the rear. I believe the M50D comes with the largest front brake setup stock aside from the X5M. It could be due to the added weight of the heavier larger motor cars where they felt the need for more clamping power. If thats the case I would say there could be benefits to adding a BBK on the F15 since having a few extra passengers in the car would easily bring a X5 30i up to 50i's weight or more... Alan

MPBK shipped MPBK caliper and install parts with X5M Rotors and MPBK parts without any rotors Stoptech as well ill cut brembo off the list as 10% of vehicle cost is crazy for this SUV..
