Who ordered black M469 wheels

Just saw on the configurator that there is now a black M469 wheel option. Would like to see some pictures of that on a white M-Sport.

I have ordered it to be built, estimated delivery is Oct. It's based on a leap of faith, but I have seen it custom painted

The leap of faith is because it's in jet black, and most custom are in gloss black.

BMW should've offered it black as an option from the beginning.
To give you an idea:

Interesting that it is only part of M Sport Package, which I would get anyways. They seem like the standard sport wheels, with a gloss finish. Though, $950 does not seem so bad, and I would probably order too if I were in the market.

Not sure what the big deal is. Anyone can spray these wheels black. Would have rather them come out with some 20" or 21" wheels.

You could use configurator and it will show any combination.

469M is 20"
If you Powder coat your wheels on your own, it voids the warranty.

I considered getting them until I looked at the brakes and discs behind the wheels. I think the black looks out of place without a darker brake disc.

Right, so as opposed to a new choice being a black version of a wheel we already had, just give us some new wheel designs. And I doubt anyone is terribly worried about painting their wheels.

That is just what my SA said. BMW will look for any excuse not to cover things. Plastidip is fine, but powder coating will void. I do not disagree that new designs would be nice.

great option, as others have said we should've had these from the start.
Not sure if anyone noticed last few weeks but they teased us with Black 21" style 128's last month as a 5k option.. and then they took it down.
Was SOO ready to order one with those wheels on.

In my opinion, I think it would depend on your exterior paint color as to whether it would look good. Much like a 30-40% tint, I think black wheels looks really nice on white vehicles due to the contrast. I think black can even looks good on a space grey. However, I am not as big of a fan on total black outs; as such, I would do more of a gunmetal for mineral grey or black sapphire.

Would black 128s look good on the F15 though? Kind of an old school wheel...

There's a video recently uploaded that shows this configuration, from a dealer in the US>

Looks not too shabby to me. When I do get it in time, I will take a picture and post it here.

I had E70 space grey with 214 style rims, I had them painted them satin black by a local, loved it until it was time to change the tires. The paint started to flake around the lip and center (could of been poor prep or to much paint). On my F15 white I plan on powder coating my M469 rims satin black, but until I have the time I am going to paint the interior/barrel of the rim with a good spray paint, and autodip (similar to plastidip) the front face of the rim. Personally black rims on the space gray look BA.

If you have a white or black x5, I would suggest a carbon grey colour instead of full black.

It stands out better.
