So hard to find a place to put spacers on

I spent like 2-3 hours trying every tire shop locally and all of them were afraid to deal with spacers due to liability. Even with me signing waver etc. Bought spacers from Ben (RG33_Sport) and they came fast - I can recommend him to anyone, always good to deal with Ben, very professional

However, local tire shops and this avoiding spacers as plague thing is not making it any easier lol

I even explained to them the difference between hubcentric vs non hubcentric spacers, told them Porsche even includes spacers as an OEM option etc. but to no avail

I'll probably end up putting them myself

P.S. Some shops said that they can only put parts that they order lol

Thanks turboawd, I'll do it myself, no problem. It's just I thought for once let auto shop do it lol. It's just they usually annoy you with unnecessary and often even harmful services for your car in trying to make more money out of you, but when it finally comes to something I would like to put on the car - they suddenly throw up hands and pretend to be law abiding auto shops

I just can't help wondering if I had Porsche and oem spacers - will auto shops still don't touch it? I mean I come to auto shop with OEM parts and they deny installation due to liability issues - seems silly to me

best bet is to try local shops. the chain shops have more rules that they follow.

Actually my local BMW dealer takes them on and off for me each season. I was surprised as hell but don?t want to argue, especially when they don?t charge me lol. That said they know many ways to recoup that rather quickly. Worth asking anyway

If you adding spacers make sure u get extended lug bolts and anti seize, also torque wheels to about 101ft lbs.. hand tight, no impact gun.

Thank you! I bought spacers from Ben (rg_33sport) and they came with extended bolts and I'll make sure to torque it manually to 101 ft lbs

Thank you for your business DuSh .
Pitty that those shops being a pain.
AC Schnitzer, Brabus, TechArt, and other German companies that have to follow strict TUV regulations are using spacers.
That?s why I don?t trust my car with any tech in the US. I have to learn on how to do things by myself so I can service and prep my car before track day or being driven daily.
FYI, I out 105lbs/ft on the torque just to be on the safe side.

I brought my car with spacers on to a local dealer to have them investigate suspension noise. Was even considering if I'd need to take them off before bringing the car in, but they made no mention of those and diagnosed the issue.

It will take you less time to put them on yourself than driving to a shop.

Very easy to put them on yourself. Why waste money paying someone to do it unless you need stuff like longer lugs or whatnot...

My dealer doesn't seem to care about spacers. Just replaced a worn front wheel bearing under warranty.
