Lease question. Feedback needed

Hello All,

I’m looking at an 18 X5 35i for the wife. Package is Msport, driver assist package, and 20 inch wheels. Alpine white with Beige interior.
MSRP $69,220
Discount: $6500
Credits: $4000
Down payment $5000
Miles 10K a year
Payment $595
What are your thoughts? Is this a good deal?

Looks like a great deal on the discount and incentives. Does this include fleet? Is the down payment for a cap cost reduction?

What’s the money factor? Also, don’t put money down on a lease. If car gets totaled you don’t get any of that back. Discount off of MSRP is acceptable.

What do you mean include fleet? Yes, putting the down payment for cap cost reduction. Total price of the vehicle with all taxes, credits comes to $60,418. Then putting the 5k to bring it down to $55,416.

I don’t have the MF yet, but I should get it tomorrow. Residual is $40k tho.

Residuals aren’t negotiable, money factors are if the dealer is marking it up. Money down on a lease is a bad investment. Just keep your cash and pay the slightly higher monthly.

I was trying to understand the 4K in credits. There is the 3K Lease credit and I assumed the 1K was from the corporate fleet program. Also as someone else said, do not put money down in a lease to bring down cap cost.
