call and speak with Frank, tell him about this thread on the forums.
BMW of Bloomfield won't budge any farther than 6% off MSRP on the F15 35i as of last week

I'll wait a few months ... you should be able to get to 8% off in a few months ... I have no doubts on that

FWIW, that's a good deal. Mark-up is usually in the 7% context. Given the current incentives... you'll end up in roughly the same place (assuming incentives expire).

I was thinking about contacting Bloomfield today to ask about the price on the X5 M Sport. Who did you speak 2?

What's the best price people got in the NYC area? Including NJ, CT and PA.

If a dealer sells an X5 for 7% off, do they still make money on the sale? (not including future service). Is their actual cost below invoice? Otherwise what's their incentive to sell at 7% off?

BMW does not provide "holdback" (e.g. a rebate check of 2-3% on each vehicle paid to the dealership by the manufacturer after a sale of a vehicle).

There are, however, quarterly and end of year promotional monies and such that are paid to each dealership.

MSRP vs. Invoice

Here is my build price sheet so you can get an idea what invoice vs. sticker price is.

My negotiated sale price was $77,060.00 here in BMW land (Orange County). YMMV

Thanks - and good luck on your negotiation process :-)

Also, in case you are wondering, "Variable Light Decoding" indicates that the factory will disable the automatic variable headlight beam width feature which changes the light spread based on vehicle speed as this function is not DOT approved here in the US (for whatever reason).

This.

I think it's going to be difficult to get v close to invoice on the X5 for a bit.

I got $3000 off my MSRP, but I also got a few less options than I would have liked because of parts unavailability. Hope I don't get buyers remorse

Worth waiting for the options you really want..I bet the shortages will come in sooner than planned...they say January to buy some time. I bet we will see late December builds. Just my opinion.

could not wait until January. We needed a new car like 3 months ago; convinced the wife to get the F15, otherwise would have had something else by now
