x5 screen dead
I Have a 2014 bmw x5 with the bang and olufsen system.
My screen has suddenly stopped working. I purchased it about 2 months ago and everything was working great. There is no response from anything stereo related. I've also started getting warning lights related to things that are connected to the screen (pedestrian warning, active cruise, collision warning) I definitely miss the old school 11 wire stereos when it comes to trouble shooting. I have no idea where to start here. I've checked fuses (2 panels on passenger side under dash, passenger Trunk panel, and on top of the battery) I noticed that there is a green connector that wasn't connected anywhere, and doesn't fit into the open orange spot. There is also a tiny black wire labelled with tape that isnt connected. I've also charged both batteries and I took apart the dash to see if anything has come loose. The original owner (I am 3rd) apparently did a system upgrade to a newer (2017) system with the newer eNBT system. Anyone know what I can try next? attached are a few pics of the units and the model numbers. |

Looks like some did retrofit to the NBT EVO ID5/ID6 unit to replace ID4 unit. Does the music play, can your phone connect to bluetooth or anything like that? Trying to figure out if you got just a bad screen or the HU is dead.

UPDATE:
The Stereo is definitely Bang & Olufsen The "emulator" is from Bimmerretrofit.com Bimmerretrofit.com is no longer existing so obviously I cannot receive help from them. someone recommended I remove the emulator from bimmerretrofit.com and when I did that the stereo started working again but the navigation does not work. Basically, I think i'm looking for a part to replace the little black box from bimmerretrofit.com. On the box it says "eNBT Retrofit Adapter" and "evo navi" is checked off. |

Lol, I agree, I'm looking through all these BMW forums and smacking my head on the desk. My other car is a 2010 BMW 535 that has been "slightly" modified and spends more time needing work, than running.
