Now what would look really great are the small silver pieces that break up the large black plastic hex inserts in the bumper, same as the M50D MSport I think.

For the 'silver wings' I am still struggling to decide whether add it or not. I too found it's great but at same time I think the front end already looks too busy. Planing just change the kidney grilles to titanium colour first and then I will make a choice based on the results.

Quick question though, did you tick the 6WB Digital Instrument Cluster as an option or it's standard with new delivery? Our X5 will be delivered in a couple of weeks and to be honest I kinda like the mechanical cluster better:-)

The 6WB is an option that hasn't been officially listed on the Aus spec sheet. I think both Digital and Mechanical Instrument Cluster are great looking, it's just a matter of personal preferences when making choices.

I discovered that as well, so I decided to coat 3 layers of Ceramic Pro on the wheels. I would recommend you adding some protection for yours as well, especially in winter.

The 6WB does not come standard, at least not on 30d. Price for that is $550+tax. However you can retrofit and code it, but the price would be much higher than fitted by the factory.

Ruby black is stunning (I am biased as our 50i has the same colour scheme). Looks good in the shadows but comes alive in the sunlight. If I can give a tip don't let anyone buff your car unless an expert and even then.... We have thousands of little swirls post delivery after some dealer detailers got out the cheap mechanical buffer but fortunately due to BMW's great paint (especially with individual) it was waxed back to perfect by a local BMW approved panel shop.
