4 zone climate fault :(

'16 50i. The rear blower has started blowing on and off at intervals. If you sync all zones then it goes from low to high speed on and off every 30 seconds or so. If you turn off rear AC then the fan goes off, but blows on low for a second about every 30. Anyone had this fault?

Unusual failure mode! It looks like some multiple sensor conflict.

May have some fault code to help understand it - please let us know if you solve it!

By the way, I always wondered where are the two rear A/C temperature sensors.

Rear-cabin footwell-temperature sensor

The left‐right separation means that 2 sensors are installed on the rear automatic rear air-conditioning system (FKA). There is one sensor installed in the left footwell air outlet and one in the right footwell air outlet. The sensors are directly connected to the FKA control unit. The FKA control unit evaluates the signals from the sensors. The signal is sent as a message on the CAN bus. The IHKA control unit uses this message to regulate the corresponding rear footwell flap motor.
