Is that thru BimmerCode? If so, do I need to be in expert mode? Thanks!

You can code it using bimmercode in which case, yes, you need to use expert mode.

Interesting. I did not code either of those. I coded EINSTIEGSHILFE_AKTIV in BDC.

hey catalina, just wanted to confirm was this to "deactive" the steering column from moving upon easy exit/entry? seems counter intuitive if it is given you're setting these to active...

Yes, you set those to active in order to disable that function.

so oddly enough i did this and now it still adjusts. but this time it doesn't remember my preferred setting via the key. So it just resets to full stowed position upon shut off and then stays there when i come back to the car...grrrugh fixed it last night. Apparently one of the lines of code didn't go through. I hate my Wifi adapter. It constantly times out and disconnects me from BimmerCode. I bout a new one last night.

Sorry I'm confused...

Like the OP, the goal is to code easy entry/exit (seat slides back) since its not available.

I'm interested in coding this as well, I have been in many cars and surprised BMW X5 doesn't offer this feature

Is the code above to enable or disable? I have bimmercode, can anyone assist on what to code in expert mode?

I recently had some coding done on my 2018 X5M and the seat no longer retracts for "Easy Exit"... We tried the coding in this thread and it doesn't work and disables the steering wheel from retracting as well as the seat. Both remain static. Anyone on here have any ideas or suggestions on how to code this back into my vehicle?

The above coding DISABLES the steering column movement for easy entry / exit. Nothing to do with the seat.

Thank you for clarifying. Do you or anyone on here have steps on how to code back the easy entry/exit for the seat?

No luck. Not sure why I am having difficulty with this but does anyone on here have step by step instructions on how to code the easy entry/exit seat back on?

This may be redundant but is it in the cheat sheet how to code off? May just do that in reverse

Tried but no luck... Not sure if there is a conflict or just doing something wrong.

Can you load from a previous save? I never save my set codings but I know many do.

I do not think there is a saved file of original coding before the new changes were made but I will ask. If there are I will post.

Couldn't get mine to work.

What werte value did u use for the EINSTIEGSHILFE_AKTIV module once you make it active?
Also when I change the default values for the two EAH modules, the system changes initwert to UNKNOWN.
