X5M Exhaust on a 50i

My 50i was rear ended while parked. I'm gonna replace the bumper with an X5M bumper but had a question. I was going to originally get a muffler delete with an X or H pipe and tips routed to the new spots. However from what I can see it looks like an X5M exhaust should bolt on. I was wondering if I could just slap an X5M exhaust from Dinan or Eisenmann onto my 50i.

Are you sure that would be the only drawback? Has anyone tried this before?

Piping and layout is the same except for the outlets/tips but since you're changing the rear bumper you should not have any issue.

This is exactly what I thought based on the pictures of both exhausts. Looks like I'll be the guinea pig. If anyone is wondering why I'm going this route as opposed to just buying an X5 50i exhaust - there are a lot more X5M exhaust choices and a lot more of them on the classifieds here.

there aren't any 50i options unless you install 50d exhausts or go custom.

Love it. Best thing I did when I wrecked my front bumper on my C55 AMG. The bumpers from the CLK63 were much more aggressive and bolted right up. USAA guy came to my house. And I literally picked the bumper I wanted off his little iPad thing and boom had the money in my account the next day.

Went ahead and ordered the X5M rear bumper. I'll update the thread with pics as I can. I'll initially just cut off the exhaust since it won't fit with the new bumper in place. Until I figure out what route I'm gonna go with the exhaust.

i actually just started the process on this. My e70 n63 has the mpackage which includes the wheel well flares so if i replace the bumper everything lines right up.

x5m bumper ordered. x5m aftermarket mufflers ordered.
