What setting/s do you run w/Racechip GTS Black?

I recently installed the Racechip GTS Black and will be putting it to the test tomorrow on my trip home (340 miles).

What’s your favorite setting?

Have you tried the Eco mode?

Have you tried Race mode?

Experiences?

Thanks!

And been on Race for the past 2 months.

That is "S" not 5.
With App, the map are assigned to each mode from the backend.
So your choices are "Eco", "Sport", and "Race", then Off.

Same here on race mode - I had the race chip gts install on my 2015 but my lease is up.
Picking up my 18 this weekend.

Just order the MPPK and will have that install first before adding back the race chip on the 18.

I am thinking about ordering the GTS black for mine.. i got a 2017 X5 3.5.
Is it worth it? Do you really feel the gains?

Yes, 35i.
I highly recommend getting the GTS w/app control. You can feel the gains immediately. It’s all “butt-dyno”, but I can feel a difference. I also have the MPPK and MPE as well.

No problem. I heard that RaceChip recently changed/updated the harness to make the installation easier, maybe r33_RGSport can fill us in. If so, that makes this mod much more appealing and easier.
Cheers

I'm getting constant codes at wot
P0238
P0242

I'm very familiar with tuning and this is not related to Spark plugs, bad coils, or bad fuel. Anyone have any issues like this? P0238 and p0242 are the same code just the sensors on each IC. The battery was disconnected at install.

Thanks
P0238 is an OBD-II generic code triggered when the Engine Control Module (ECM) detects the intake boost pressure sensor A input circuit out of specifications, indicating an open circuit or high voltage condition in the circuit.

I don’t believe so, but I’ll defer to r33_RGSport on this question.

Gts black on the n63tu does not have the app functionality.

If anyone is curious about this product, I highly recommend you think twice.....

This technically is not true. On a FI car, you don't just get more power, when you do mods, they allow for less restrictive flow and allows the turbos to not work as hard(wgdc).

With something like racechip, it is set to only allow x amount of boost. So even if you add catless downpipes, intake, etc. It is not going to give more flow because it is set. What it will do for example is make the turbos not work as hard to reach target. You could gain some quicker spooling but not really increase hp.

Hypothetical

Before dps, racechip to reach 18psi has a wgdc of 76 out of 100.

After dps. Racechip still only sets 18psi as target but now only needs wgdc to hit 67 out of 100 but in both cases, you still only get 18psi

In my opinion, the App is nice and all.
But, once you find out which map that you like. You will almost never change it.
It is nice if you have wife and/or kids driving the car.
With the app, you can change the setting to efficiency or off without opening up the hood and reaching out to the unit.
But yes, N63tu application, there is no app capability available.

I understand what you are saying.
But, then why there is a gain of hp when you go catless even on a stock car, when you were saying the x amount of boost are still the same.
Also, on my X5, when I changed from catted to catless, with the same map on the tune, I gain more hp.
