Finally the installation of the X5 M F85 brake discs on the M Performance brake of my X5 50i (AC Schnitzer ACS5) was successful.

The front rotors fit without any modification (only shorter fixation screw) and for the back rotors I milled a new hole with a step for the screw head on the right position. I used the M performance brake rotor as reference.

The holes on the F85 rear rotor are not on the right place for the X15 brake holder.

Here the final pictures in combination with my winter tires.

Where did you mill you hole? On the f85 rear rotor? Why did you have to do that?

Very nice upgrade.

I hadn't considered upgrading the M50d brakes which have larger rotors than standard M Sport cars. This makes thing interesting however.

Does your F15 have the ACS lowering spring kit? Does it have M suspension self leveling in the back?

Hi.

You have MPBK on with F85 X5M rotors? I am asking because I am confused. The MPBK does not come with drilled rotors. Am I right? So to achieve the looks and performance you have on the stock one should buy MPBK and separatly order X5M rotors?

Thank you for your answer.

Hi guys! I have question.
I got 21 wheels for my F15 with M package.
Would you recommend to upgrade brakes also?
Thanks!

Hello, so rear performance brakes have no M logo on them right? Many thanks! Do you know if there is a solution to get them?

Best,
Ivan

I believe most are grabbing decals off eBay.

I took the chance to go try the X5M rotors on the vehicle and it would appear...

Front will fit fine
Rear won't fit without a hole being drilled for the locating screw. The hole on the X5 rotor is in between the 2 bolt holes. On the X5M rotor there are 2 holes for this, but both are offset towards the bolt holes slightly.

So my plan is to machine the hole. Anyone else been down this route?

Thanks

How much did this cost?

It is an old thread but as I can see...here are some people with a lot of experience compared to me.

My idea is to take all parts from X5M F85 and mount them on ordinary F15.

Someone done this? I would like to have the 6 piston caliper from X5M....

And the Performance brake has 4 piston caliper.

All in the actual brake thread on the front page, Brembo on a budget.

I would put an extra 3-5lbs of torque on the lug bolt.
I have rear m rotors already for two years, no drilling done. Zero issues.
