Should I switch dealer?
I ordered an X6 M a few weeks ago. I used my AG number to check the status of the order today and it's status is 0077.
A bit of googling tells me that this means the dealer has no quota. I'm not entirely sure what this means or how dealer quotas work, but it certainly doesn't sound good to me? I'm not expecting to take delivery until August so maybe this is not a big deal at this point in time? Would appreciate any insight! Thanks |

I guess you mean allocation. If you order from a dealer that has a high allocation of your specific model, you can get your order faster - they just take one that would be put on their floor and change the specs to meet your order. I imagine that a dealer that places an order well in advance doesn't need to have an allocation. He is a dealer I'm sure someone else will chime in. Good luck.

There is no status 77; did you mean 17, 37, 87, or 97? Vehicle is most likely in the order bank, do you mind sharing the Center you ordered from? This will shed light on the Center volume.

I placed my order late March 2017, and it took my dealer until mid April to secure a build date. I was initially annoyed-the manager told me he had the allocation at the time of the order, the subsequent delay wasn't too bad. The delivery occurred mid May. This is my second experience ordering from BMW-the first was a 2011 550, and even that car was delayed a week or so. I would continue to work with your dealer to confirm allocation-once that occurs it's a reasonably fast process. And if you are anticipating an August delivery, I wouldn't be concerned at this point.
