I guess it really does boil down to taste and the loving bias we all share for M cars.

I remember when I put the old 22s from my 2009 X6 on my 2017 X6 the week I got the new toy, I got more jeers than cheers, lol. Eventually, I got with the program with a more modern set up.

The owner of that X5M reception has been the complete opposite. Maybe it's the ///M, or maybe just timing. I noticed over the years that even though I'm not the trendy type and take while to get with the times, the retro style is only appreciated once I show up to the party late, lol.

Yes, you're right IMO. I love the old school look. I would pick his wheel set-up anyday over the stock wheels you have. IMO, your M look standard.
