Used x5m with high miles
How do people feel about buying a used 2015 x5m with 41000 miles , only 10000 miles and one year of warranty . The dealer wants $ 69,000
This one is not from a bmw dealer, not CPO |

I know up here in the northeast there's not much. I think on autotrader within 500 miles the cheapest one is a 16 with 75k miles for $65k. I think everything else is 69k plus no matter what year or miles. There is a 16 down in Maryland with 30k miles for 71k at a jeep dealer which seems to be the best deal around.

Interesting thread...
My 2015 BMW X5M has it's lease coming up in July here and I was considering if I want to purchase it outright... Buyout is ~$65K, it has 9100 miles on it, garage kept, 21" wheels, Full Merino interior etc... Was thinking of getting an X3 M40i, that has an MSRP of around ~$68K, but I don't know if it's worth it... Anyone else in the same situation and have any suggestions...? Thanks!

The X3 M40i isn't a "regular" X3.
It drives pretty well , and sounds better than the X5M ! I really enjoyed the vehicle. Handling is very good. The only disappointing point is the materials they've used inside ... Leather has nothing to do with the one we have in the X5M , and the "Sensatec" on the dashboard looks pretty cheap. No possibilities neither to get the Alcantara roof liner ... |

Agree with what's been said.
I just bought a 2015 with about 47K km (around 30K miles) for about $75K CDN (around $57,900 US).

That's an insane deal. I picked up a 2014 50i with 20k miles for $60 this past summer. Must be a Canadian thing.

Terrible deal. Paid that for my 2015 with 29k miles on it 8 months ago.

Maybe shoot for a 16 at that price. Honestly these aren't common so unless you wanna fly out or deal in a large radius you may pay more.
Most people quote a few QS prices but that is no trend. But yeah I guess it's a high price. You can get coverage using the refresh BMW program if yours still qualifies. I did for my 17 and dealer paid 1449 to my 750 to give 4yr. (I bought outta state so that was super awesome of them). Finally 40x miles is nothing realistically. I guess some people use this more as a toy?! I use my Viper TA as the toy and my wife and I daily our SRT Jeep and X5m. If you buy...It's better almost ALWAYS to get a 2015 with say 20k miles Vs 3,000. Lots of parts need lots of movement. Get lower miles only for future resale if that is a concern. Good luck and don't be afraid to look around. In Michigan used 18s are over 100k at times. |
