21 vs 22 inch wheel

for you that have gone from 20 or 21 to 22" wheels any regrets?
trying to decide but Im here in north jersey with crappy roads
love the look but afraid of the ride....thoughts?

21" tires sidewall is 3.93" thick.
21" tires usually cost more than 20" or 22" and rarely available in stock.
21" wheels not that many options.

22" tires sidewall is 3.48" thick.
22" tires cost usually cheaper than 21" and widely available.
22" wheels have more brands and styles.

I went with 21" wheels so I could utilize the Michelin PSS tire
