X5 50 1/4 results

3800 ft density altitude hurt the et and mph since the bar was so low. But you get what you get.

Wow, the actual result is way better than the dyno numbers.

To be honest, After seeing those dyno graph, I thought the 50i performance should be close to the 35i rather than the M. But I’m glad I was wrong.

What dyno graphs are you talking about? The 50i is probably over a second faster in the 1/4 also.

The n63tu is rated 445hp and 480lb.ft on paper. In my opinion, the dyno result are a bit off from that rated number, which unlike N63 or N55, it actually come pretty close to the rated number. And the dyno graphs I mentioned is from bms website.

But anyway, the actual drag time comes out pretty good, which is enough.

I got what your saying , for example a 335i with a n54 will put down like 275-280 whp when rated at 300 crank hp. They are obviously making more power then what the factory is rating them at. I think what the 50i put down is right in line with the factory rating. I have a thread out there with my dyno numbers on a mustang dyno which are typically lower reading but have seen guys put down 400 on dyno jet which would actually make the 445 also under rated.

Also keep in mind the power and torque needed to accelerate a 5300 +lb suv to a high 12 sec 1/4??? Little sandbagging you think maybe??

Yeah, the Car and driver magazine and Motor trend both confirmed the 1/4 mile result, so I think the number should be legit.

I hope the G05 could lose some weight, and we will see low 12 sec for next 50i

Da doesn't impact FI vehicles as much l, at best maybe another tenth or 2 if better. I can't see him running better than a 12.5.
