Hi all,
Recently purchased a used f15 and am trying to rid the car of chrome. I know ind offers the x5 emblem in gloss black but it's a bit more than I'd like to spend. I know bimmian makes emblems however I don't see any for the x5 on their website?

Anyone have any leads. And before someone suggests, I don't want to plastidip

Warping doesn't work. Only solutions are either Plastidip or buy a $100 painted OEM X5 emblem from IND Distribution.

I know IND is expensive, but their products are high quality and hold up well. They are still my recommendation.

I would just debadge the x5 logo before thinking about paying $100 for black emblem..

And actually a good multilayered plastidip can last for years.

Debadge or plastidip. Don't waste money. Unless you want black roundels then no choice

I was looking for some cheap X5 badge on amazon and ebay and at the time the only ones available were for the E70 X5 which is slightly different than the F15 X5. The fit isn't correct, so I ordered mine from iND.

Just do it

I also ordered from IND. It was tough to pay $100 for a black painted emblem but it does look nice and I'm glad I did it.

Paying $100 for an emblem is insanity.

Come on guys.. we are already overpaying on a BMW...
I don't mind spending $100 to make your ride look unique/different and to get rid of the "chrome" look.

I just got a call from BMW. Tires for your 469s are going to DOUBLE in price. But who cares! It's a BMW!

Wow - that looks good. Now I'm going to be out $100. I have mineral white and that's the only chrome left and I was trying to add some more black to the rear!

These threads crack me up. OP was simply looking for places to purchase blacked out badges but instead convo goes to personal opinions on whether he should debadge or spend the money.

Black Badge and roundel on Mineral White. Sorry for the bad picture. It's all I could find on short notice.

Yea, I went with a gloss peelable paint (some plastidip alternative). We'll see how they hold up. So far, they're doing good and made it through the winter, but I don't drive all that much.
