Midpipe delete?

Has anyone attempted a midpipe delete with stock exhaust? Any drone?

Had the Eisenmann which sounds amazing but too loud for my wife and not exactly neighbor friendly lol. Back to stock now but want some more sound!

Fabricate some exhaust dumps, I'm in the process I'll let you know how it goes

So my mid pipe is going to be cut out for the dumps, it's the best place to put them with the most space

So where the mid pipes are located right now the cut outs for the exhaust dumps are going in there. There is a lot of room and clearance once the mid pipes are deleted I should have taken a picture. The actuators will fit really nice and dont have to worry about clipping them because of ground clearance

So there would be a valve to open or close? I guess that would need to be wired to a button or something in the cabin?

Correct, it will be a remote or take the signal from the original valves

the only time I looked into exhaust bypass was when i had my E92 M3 which was years ago.

You might get a lot noise being that it is right where you are sitting. I have thought about doing this on mine but would try to get them back near the rear axle as much as I could. Some one just did this on their E70 X5M and recommended Doug's electric cut outs.

I'm in CA so I'm out of luck on that shot. I can only hope to find a good fabricator locally once you posted your solution then

Will do, parts are 1k and expecting another 1000-1500 in labor. The system will look and function as an inter grated system, mid pipes will be able to slide back in with exhaust clamps too.
