F85/F86 Digital Display?

I am ordering a new F85/F86 tomorrow as the deal is too good to pass up. The dealer has loaned me an F16 for 24 hours so I can get the family in it to help us decide as it's the boot/rear leg/head room that is making it difficult to decide.

I love it - but to my surprise, it (4.0d M Sport) has a full digital display - and I wasn't expecting this as I thought X5/X6 didn't have them.

Now I'm wondering whether it's just the F85/F86 that doesn't have them?

And if that is right - are there any other differences interior wise between the F16 and the F86? I guess what I'm most curious about is the center display screen size and the HUD colors (which look way better than my 2013 3 series)

No F85/86's around my area for me to take a look at unfortunately

TIA!

No digital cluster in the F85/6, it's analog for the main gauges. There are three small LCDs (one under each main gauge and one in the center) for small info stuff.

I kinda like the analog gauges personally. HUD colors on the M are what they are and the center display screen is slightly larger in the 2017 and 2018 model year.

There are interior differences... Steering wheel, paddles, shifter, seats being the big ones I can think of.

Biggest difference, not necessarily in the interior but just in general, is lack of adaptive cruise control on the M.

Agree. That and no remote start. Small price to pay though!

Full digital in my 2015 F16 5.0. I just wish is stayed white all the time instead of 1980's red at night.

I suspect that BMW AG didn't want to reprogram for a digital display, as the 4 series with MY 2018 received a digital display update for the LCI, but the M4 coupe and cabrio stayed with the analog display.
