My mod thread: M Sport Bumpers and more...

Here are some of the items to be installed:

https://photos.app.goo.gl/xndMmeK7H9jALBKz1

Carbon fiber items, i.e. lip, diffuser and flaps look great, albeit after market.

Muffler delete most likely tomorrow.
Rear bumper exhaust holes will be shaved off a bit to accommodate the Cayenne black tips. Otherwise they would be too exposed.
Stock photo does not tell the whole story, because they're bigger in reality.

In the front, I will keep lower corner grills open.
Original car had them as you see them.

Will post more pics on the album as process moves along!

Muffler delete tomorrow, chopping off exhaust tips.
They will be painting bumpers tomorrow most likely.
Asked them to capture pictures of the process.

Placement will start on Monday, hopefully prework will eliminate the need to keep it over two days.

Going straight pipes from the cats?

Looking forward to seeing the progress.

Not sure how he intends to do it.
I assume he'll have to put some T splitter where he cuts the muffler inlet, but am as curious as you are.
He's quite experienced, hands - on, old style mechanic.
Also adding BMS cold air intake.
Hopefully, there will be some good roaring when it's all said and done!

More pics added, muffler out....a lot of backpressure on acceleration.
Unplugged wire to valve, no CEL thrown.
Will need to take it easy till "order is restored"!
Obviously, if backpressure continues, I will put back the muffler, or go to MPE. But it appears to be normal, since only one outlet exists.

How are you increasing backpressure with no muffler?

It is a very good question, but it's what I am experiencing.
Could it be the Cold Air Intake? Does not seem plausible.

How are you determining that you have a backpressure issue?

Acceleration is very very poor, lots of noise in the back, which I expected.
He told me it will be reduced once tips are installed.
Nothing major when you're cruise mode.
Could it be because it takes time to adjust?

No idea, but it wouldn't be caused by increased backpressure. You have reduced backpressure by removing the muffler.

Maybe the noise in the rear makes me think it's not accelerating properly.
Just tested in sport mode, it's a lot better, but if this drone-noise does not go when the tips go in, muffler may have to go back in!
Right now noise is vibrating in the cabin.

The drone isn't going to go away with just the tips.
