Don't mind it, do mind that "backpressure".
Will remove the cold air take tomorrow and see if it makes a difference.
I have read that in lower rpms it does have an impact.

I wouldn't know, because this is not my car. I think the guy who did this video just tired hearing it while changing the muffler to MPE.

I use them for any family trip so I guess is depends on how you use your vehicle. I have silver ones but purchased a set of black ones that need to be swapped.

Just wondering how it'd look like w/o them. Had roof rails myself, but now that I tried to unlock after 10 months, I saw that it was tough putting the key in.
They were aftermarket ones, so I think they got hard and started rusting.

Paint looks good! Are they painting the reflectors while they are at it? Will be a lot easier to remove and paint them while the bumpers are off.

Asked about placing first, then painting...they told me they would do it before place.
As for the paint, it's kind of dark in there, not sure if this is the prime paint, or actual paint...probably the former. Mineral White is kind of difficult after speaking w/different body shops. In addition, they need to do "tricoat".
It was on my car spec sheet, but I believe it should be standard on all BMWs.
But I think, the last "hand" will be done while on the car.

cool, good to hear they are painting the reflectors also. I just went through the headache of replacing the reflectors with the painted version so wanted to check that they are painting and installing so you don't have to deal with it later. But what would have been even better is if they filled, sanded the reflector area so you don't have the cutout at all.

Saw a video on youtube for an X5M, where a guy was showing every single details.
It's a challenge, but it's a good challenge.
Wish I had the confidence to do the minor mods myself.
Asked the guy to volunteer in his shop, just to watch and provide a helping hand, cause he's really unique.
His main business is restoration, not fender/bender.
He can actually start a car from scratch, i.e. put metal frame together, the build up from that.
There are some vintage car enthusiasts that pay a lot of money to start replicas. Cool stuff. Don't ask me how these cars get registration!

Was he unable to get the dent out of the middle of the rear bumper or is it just the lighting?

Lighting angle....rear bumper was "rubbed" on the corner in its NYC days.
I was told color in picture is actual color, but there will some extra "processing" after placement to make it identical to rest of it.
It was fascinating to see what's going on behind the scenes. There was actually a foam bar that came out along with the air ducts.
Hopefully more pics tomorrow, after a foot of snow
