New Owner of 2015 X5
After much shopping and reading on here I purchased this 2015 X5 CPO for $37,500 with 26K miles to replace my wife Acura MDX. Loaded with Comfort Heated/Ventilated Seats, Driver Assist, Heated Steering Wheel, Heated Rear Seats, Adaptive Suspension. Thanks for all the information on the board, now to learn how all stuff it has works! Question....is there any remote starts for the BMW? In my research i never read about any factory remote start vehicles

Congrats. I've heard of the BMW remote start but don't know much about it.

Congrats, I just got mine less than a month ago!
There are a couple videos on youtube of remote start but they don't mention anything specifically such as year/model/trim or remote start kits. There was even a factory option at one point in time that was "broken" recently with an IDrive update and no fix mentioned from BMW. It might be worth calling an indy shop that installs Viper systems to see if its been done or can be done without interfering with the normal functionality of the car. Good luck and keep us updated!

I tried to get it here in Montreal Canada and the dealer said the part is "on hold" due to all the problems they've encountered with it

OEM and aftermarket are available, both require sacrificing or getting an additional key. OEM is limited in range to the OE fob and has some prerequisites prior to starting, aftermarket can have unlimited range and not so much on the requirements when starting.

BMW no longer retrofits the factory remote start.
Reason is that it's incompatible with the latest software updates. I know this because mine got disabled by an update last year and it's been over a year with it not working. I'm requesting a refund on it.
