Using Launch Control plus in cabin Akrapovic sound

I have M1 set with all of the options on Sport Plus plus the Trans level on 3. After you come to a complete stop, press M1 twice and push the transmission shifter to the right once to engage manual mode. Press HARD on the brake pedal, then press the accelerator to the floor. The Flag and Launch Control lights up under the Speedo. Release the footbrake pedal and hold on ! If launched from a stop in manual mode it will engage Launch Control and will shift automatically. Plus you can hear Akrapovic in cabin with ASD disabled.

Wow, nice.
Must also be nice to have access to long straight back road where you can do that anyday.
I tried to do before and after run on my G30 and couldn't find any quiet area nearby.

That's true. No houses, etc. Country road and fields.

Funny story: Was so used to the isolation, one day I made multiple hits with Vbox, Dashcommand and RaceChip to get the peak boost I wanted.

Went home and ate lunch.

Went back to confirm the D setting and peak boost. Hit 120, started coasting since a long sweeping curve is at the end....went through the curve and there were 12 State Trooper cars, dogs, Swat teams, etc outside in the field doing drills. They heard it all but could not see me coming down the straight......hit eff mode and they all watched me putter by.....didn't go back for a week.

Hahaha.
That's what I'm talking about.
I don't mind paying for the ticket if I can get all day run.
The thing is, the hassle on traffic school (if I am allowed), otherwise I will be paying higher insurance for the next few years, which ended up costing more than the ticket itself.
I also don't mine going to the track, but I don't like drag racing and the closest is only 1/8 and crowded with american cars.

Why press M1 twice? Does it turn off traction control?

I have my TC turned off by the M1 button configuration. You have to press M1 twice to activate the M mode. A single press does not work. Must be designed to keep an accidental press from activating M.

I haven’t tried this, though you can use MDM or full TC off right?

Not quite. You have to hit the M button twice, to confirm that you know you have DSC off, or in MDM mode, if you have stored this in that particular M button.. Its just to confirm you know

Just wondering,
Why does 1st gear not go to redline and only up to 5K ?
Is this done by the software to keep the car from not losing grip ??

Good question. It looks like that every time. Either the tach is not keeping up with the actual rpm, or it is short shifting.

I don't think it's necessarily because the car would lose grip, it's probably because it's faster. Power starts to drop around 6K.
