Thanks, OP! I know.. bringing this back to life after almost a year but these settings definitely helped the boring sound coming out of the HK. This may help someone else who's new to the forum and/or X5.

I’ve played with most of these. Still not impressed. Any updates on long term EQ setup that seems to make you enjoy your music.

And I wish there was a way to store the settings, call it something for certain music. Then have other settings for different tunes. And again. Why could they not have canned EQ setups. Probably one of the worst sound system I’ve owned.

3D mode works best for me, not ideal but definitely a huge step forward compared to the stock settings.

Sounds great with Rap, RnB, Country, Rock, decent for metal...enjoy.

Above is almost identical to what I have. It sounds great. I did have to drop the bass by 1; it was just too much.
