M Performance Rear Gloss Black Roof Spoiler Lip
I’m thinking of adding the rear M Performance roof spoiler lip to my car and wanted peoples opinion if this upgrade is worth the cost? Is this a nice looking mod when finished as I searched the internet and most pictures are not very good quality. It looks like this just sticks to the existing spoiler, is my understanding correct?

Thanks, your pictures are the ones that got me interested - subtle but looks good. Not much else out there about the spoiler lip though, mainly the bumper mods.
My F15 is carbon black so will blend in more than yours. Is yours OEM or aftermarket? |

That would be great thanks!
Interested how snug the fit is and an overall view looking down at the rear window to see the projection/effect of the lip when installed. |

Here's a shot from above. I took this while installing. Ignore the tape, it was just there to help me line things up. It just has some 3m tape on the bottom that is used to secure it. It's been on solidly thus far. Just be sure to give the area of install a wipe down with an alcohol wipe to remove any wax/sealant.

Thanks, great pictures!
I am correct in thinking the OEM lip is gloss black and not carbon like the other M Performance bits? Was looking at adding the side vents and see you can get aftermarket gloss black or carbon so wanted them to match. |

OEM is gloss black and I think BMW did this to continue the gloss black theme with the front kidney grills, side window trim, roof rack and other gloss black trim pieces.
Installing is simple.. in the middle of the third brake lights there is a small indention that you can use as center and then the edges line up on the roof creases. Peel back a little bit of the 3M tape backing and lay the spoiler in position. Apple painters tape to keep the spoiler in place and just remove the 3M tape backing. Then apply some pressure and it should be good to go.
