Does the Diesel engine generate low engine temperature comparing with Petrol engine?

No. You would think the diesel would run hotter than the gas motor, but you have to bear in mind that the configuration for both engines has some common components between them, as well as distinctly different pieces that are either gas or diesel specific. When I really lean on my d at elevations above 6000 ft the oil temp climbs rapidly (110-113c). Slowing down, or just reducing the load, drops the temp back to normal (100c). Normal operating temps for both gas or diesel are about the same.

Mobil 1 ESP 5w-30 every 7500 miles OCI. Its a good all year round 5w-30 with very low NOACK (oil evaporative properties) and its very robust oil, not sure if this oil is available in HK tho.
