Steering wheel makes clicking noise

When I got home today and was getting into my garage, I noticed a clicking noise coming from the steering wheel/column. It also makes this noise when the car isn't moving. Whenever I turn the wheel left or right it starts clicking... I guess you could compare it to the sound you get winding up one of those kitchen timer things.

Anybody had this problem or knows what it is? The car will go to the dealer next week.

Drove my car today for the first time since I made the post, sound is gone. Weird. I've also found a video from a bmw that had the same problem.
His solution is to tighten a bolt, I find it hard to imagine if any bolts were lose it tightened on itself. It's also hard to explain it to the dealer when the noise is gone, what should I do?
